This fall I flew to the most gorgeous little town in Washington where my bride and her amazing family lived. Gig Harbor. Its one of the top 10 best small towns to live in the USA! A tiny little fishing town right on the harbor. Everything is lush green and mossy with little quaint houses and shops. a dream town..
Taylor (the bride) and myself were best friends instantly. I spend the evening with her at Target buying last minute things she needed for the wedding day haha. I bought a jacket. Love when there is instant chill friendship with the bride! Then myself and all the bridesmaids snuggled into one room to sleep.
The next day everyone woke up and got ready then we all walked around the city for about an hour just shooting whatever we saw. The groom is a photographer so they were generous with giving time for creative photos… love when this happens.
The wedding venue was one of the most original venues I’ve ever shot a wedding at. Stadium High school. You’ll probably recognize it from 10 Things I Hate About You! I love it because it looks like Hogwarts!!! They had a cute ceremony, then sodas and ice cream followed by some rad food trucks that pulled up with the most amazing tacos and pizza. But the best part of the night was when everyone sat down with blankets and watched the new Cinderella movie… So simple and fun.
Most favorite quote from the bride that day was, “I like tacos, and Kyle.”
