Its weddings like these that really remind me how incredibly lucky I have this job. That I have this passion for photography. What other job could have ever been able to take me to all these amazing places? I was so grateful to be able to shoot Ivy and Ara’s wedding in Oahu over Thanksgiving with my husband! It was one of the most amazing vacations I’ve ever been on.
They were married at the Laie temple on a warm overcast day. Ivy looked like a model I chose specifically for some amazing styled shoot she was so insanely perfect!!!
After the temple we had some down time so of course and me and my husband went to get a mixed plate. The best mixed plate I have ever eaten in my life!!!!! my mouth still waters thinking about the food there. crying.
Then we headed down a windy road through really thick tropical plants to the cute little green beach house where their reception was held. It had a private beach with the most amazing view I had seen on the island yet. The rest of the night was just good food, tons of speeches and songs and laughter. Then of course the Haka! Which is where all the men gather together and do is super amazing loud power dance that they used to do ages ago to scare off enemies. Its the most incredible thing to watch!
Ivy and Ara then snuck away to their car. Didn’t even tell anyone, luckily I snuck a quick shot of them escaping into the jungle.
Every time I leave Hawaii I just think about how to get back there again as quick as possible..
