I don’t even know how to start this post. Maybe I’ll start with, I was actually sad to the point of getting emotional to get on the plane and leave this amazing family and place.
My favorite part about shooting weddings is how you are instantly emerged into the couples world. Their cities, their homes their family members, the food they eat, the places they hang out, I see it all and take part in it all. I LOVE to see how different everyone is. And this wedding was just that.
The second I stepped off the plane they were so kind, and the genuine kind of kind. The bride was STUNNING. The most beautiful bronze skin and this smiley face that just lit up the room. Everyone had an accent and said the funniest things. They were all so real. Didn’t just do things so that other people could see. They said what they wanted and did what they wanted.
I stayed right in the brides house which was on the ocean… I went with her and her friends boating, to hang out at the beach, we did boudoir photos on this little secluded beach, I ate breakfast and lunch with them, went to the rehearsal and the dinner. Walked down their little old main street, I sat on their porch at night watching the boats and lights on the ocean breathing in the humidity. I loved EVERYTHING about their world.
